Rubina Multi-Color Gemstone Necklace

You may have noticed we return to vintage-inspired coins season to season. We can't help it. There is something about holding an object that feels it has passed through centuries of hands, each one leaving no trace yet somehow collectively giving it a weight that no newly minted piece can replicate. 

What we built around it this time is warmer, cube-cut stones in a rose-toned palette that moves through blush, dusty pink, watermelon, deep carnelian, burgundy and onyx, with the occasional translucent bead catching the light like sea glass. The square-cut geometry of the beads gives the strand a graphic quality that feels contemporary, almost architectural, while the colors keep it firmly in the realm of the romantic.

It's a choker that wears close and feels personal. The kind of piece that becomes yours in a way that's hard to articulate. Perhaps that's fitting, given that the coin at its center feels as if it's been somebody's for a very long time. Now it's yours.
